Manchester City are planning a £20m move for Cesc Fabregas, The Sun on Sunday claim.
City are the latest club to be linked with the Chelsea midfielder amid speculation that he could leave Stamford Bridge when the transfer window reopens in January.
It is claimed that City boss Pep Guardiola is concerned about his team’s lack of creativity and wants to sign Fabregas, who played under him at Barcelona.
The Sun on Sunday say City are happy to offer Fabregas more than his Chelsea wages – reportedly £160,000 a week – and even offer a future move to their sister club New York City.
The Spain international is said to be keen to eventually play in the United States.
The Sunday Mirror say Chelsea are set to offer Nathaniel Chalobah a new deal.
The newspaper reports that Chelsea are ready to open contract talks with the 21-year-old after he impressed boss Antonio Conte.
Chalobah will earn himself “a hefty payday” if his progress continues, it is claimed.
