QPR’s already slim chance of staying up receded even further as they were soundly beaten at Goodison Park. Here’s how we rated the players in their latest defeat.
Julio Cesar: 7
Produced some good saves and was not at fault for either goal.
Jose Bosingwa: 5
Failed to get to grips with Everton defensively and offered very little going forward.
Chris Samba: 5
Another poor display from Rangers’ £12.5m man, who was sluggish throughout. Beaten on the ground and even in the air on several occasions.
Clint Hill: 5
Unfortunate for Everton’s opening goal, which went in via a deflection off him. Overall though he was exposed by the home side’s attack.
Nedum Onouha: 5
A difficult afternoon for the defender, who never looked comfortable.
Andros Townsend: 6
The in-form winger made a strong start but faded as Everton began to get to grips with him.
Ji-sung Park: 6
Created a first-half chance for Loic Remy but did little else before being taken off.
Esteban Granero: 5
Recalled to the side and was another player who contributed little before being substituted.
Jermaine Jenas: 6
Neat and tidy on the ball but was no match for Everton’s strong midfield.
Junior Hoilett: 6
Dangerous early on and went close with a great effort, but after that he struggled to get into the game.
Loic Remy: 6
Received very little service and was denied by a good save from keeper Tim Howard when an opportunity did come his way.
Adel Taarabt: 6
Tried to get Rangers back into it when he came on, but by then Everton had the game won.
Samba Diakite: 6
Added some energy to Rangers’ midfield but his introduction came too late.
