England boss tipped to close the door on Chelsea star Terry
Roy Hodgson is today expected to clarify whether he is open to the idea of John Terry returning to the England fold.
The Chelsea captain, who has been in good form this season, retired from international football 18 months ago.
He made the announcement after the Football Association pursued a case against him following an incident involving Anton Ferdinand in a match against QPR – even though Terry was cleared in court of racially abusing him.
There has been speculation that he could yet go to this summer’s World Cup.
The Sun suggest Terry could be willing to make a return if he is needed by England boss Hodgson.
However, The Independent say Hodgson will close the door on a return for the Blues star.
And the Daily Telegraph reports that Terry would in any case be reluctant to make himself available for England again.
