Chelsea’s Diego Costa has been the Premier League’s top striker so far this season, based on performance data from Opta.
The statistics team at fantasty football game Oulala.com compiled a team of the season so far after analysing Opta’s data for all 414 players to have appeared in the top flight this term.
Costa is the only Chelsea player in a line-up which also includes Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling – the Harlesden man has four goals and two assists to his name this season.
Spain forward Costa has had 22 shots, boasting a 72% shot accuracy rate, and has contributed a further two assists and seven key passes.
Costa has also completed 11 successful dribbles and has drawn 21 fouls – the second most of any player in the Premier League behind Chelsea team-mate Eden Hazard (23).
