Chelsea are prepared to let Frank Lampard leave on a free transfer to join LA Galaxy in January, according to the Daily Star.
It is claimed the England midfielder, who has repeatedly insisted he plans to stay at Stamford Bridge, is ready to sign two-year contract to join David Beckham at the MLS outfit.
Meanwhile, comments made on Twitter by popular former QPR defender Bob Hazell are reported in today’s Daily Mirror.
Hazell hit out at Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson for criticising Rio Ferdinand and other players for refusing to wear a Kick It Out T-shirt at the weekend.
“My admiration for Joleon Lescott, Jason Roberts and Rio Ferdinand having the balls to take a stand, where I and my generation of cowards never would,” Hazell tweeted.
“Me & my generation spoke about “ignoring it” and claimed “it inspires us to play better”. We never spoke of feeling hurt devalued and f****** angry.
“It should be support through choice. Sir Alex Ferguson has not experienced what these guys have so he has no right to demand they support.”
And The Daily Mail say QPR chairman Tony Fernandes will show his support for manager Mark Hughes by making special trip to London for Saturday’s game with Arsenal.
