Chelsea tipped to sign duo and QPR are linked with left-back

QPR are interested in Poole Town left-back Will Spetch along with Watford and AFC Wimbledon, according to the Sunday People.

Spetch, Poole’s player of the year last season, is reported to have been offered a trial by the Dons.

Chelsea are set to snap up Inter Milan’s Fredy Guarin from under the nose of Manchester United, the People also say.

United boss David Moyes is widely reported to be interested in the midfielder and forward Javier Hernandez has been linked with a move to the San Siro as part of an exchange deal.

Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Roma are also said to be keen on Gaurin.

The Sunday Express, who link Tottenham with the player, also suggest Chelsea are now favourites to sign him.

Chelsea are also touted as the favourites to sign Schalke’s Julian Draxler, who is said to be a target for several Premier League clubs.

Reports in Germany have indicated that Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal want Draxler.

The Mail on Sunday suggest Chelsea are well placed to sign him, with Blues boss Jose Mourinho apparently willing to offer Kevin de Bruyne in exchange.

The same paper also report that Manchester United are set to open contract talks with Wayne Rooney and are confident of keeping him despite Chelsea’s ongoing interest.

Meanwhile, the Sunday Mirror report that Chelsea captain John Terry, whose contract expires at the end of the season, is to be offered one-year deal by the club.

And the People say former Brentford manager Uwe Rosler could be set to sign Chelsea youngster Patrick Bamford on loan for Wigan.

Striker Bamford is currently on loan at League One club MK Dons.

Newcastle are the first Premier League club to show an interest in Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov, again according to the People.

Berbatov’s agent has said that the Bulgarian forward is unhappy at Craven Cottage and wants to leave when the transfer window opens in January.

Several English clubs have been linked with him but it is claimed that Magpies boss Alan Pardew has made the first firm move and is keen to take Berbatov to St James’ Park.

It is suggested that Berbatov would cost around £2m and that midfielder Derek Boateng could also leave Fulham next month.

The People also say Fulham’s highly-rated youngster Patrick Roberts is set to snub Manchester United.
