Chelsea have £3.5m offer for goalkeeper accepted – report
Chelsea have had a bid of around £3.5m for goalkeeper Jack Butland accepted by Birmingham City, according to The Sun.
It is claimed that Chelsea have been given permission to discuss personal terms with the England international.
Liverpool, who were touted as the favourites to sign Butland, 19, have not made an offer.
“Chelsea have been given permission to speak to Jack. At this moment they are the only club who have registered a bid,” said Butland’s agent Gary Mellor.
The Daily Mirror say Butland has already discussed a £4m move to Stamford Bridge but has reservations because he does not want to sit on the bench.
The Daily Telegraph say Chelsea are set to offer £3m for Butland but that Fulham could be favourites to sign him.
And the Daily Mail claim he has rejected a move to Chelsea after they had a £3.5m bid accepted.
Meanwhile, QPR reportedly face competition from Napoli for the signing of Porto’s Rolando.
Portuguese newspaper A Bola say the Italian club are interested in buying the defender if he decides against a move to Loftus Road.
Stoke are ready to accept £5m plus Jamie Mackie from QPR for Peter Crouch, according to the Mail.

This is absolutely STUPID on Liverpools behalf! After a performance that Brad Jones did against Oldham, surely there was a desperate need to secure the services of a better keeper!
Butland not only will be better than Jones in the future, but is better now!
At 3.5 m… This will be an absolute steal!
