It is claimed that Manchester United and Arsenal are also interested in signing him.

Costa pleads with Abramovich – Mirror

The Daily Mirror claim Diego Costa has pleaded with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to keep him at the club.

It comes after Costa revealed that he has been told he has no future at Chelsea by boss Antonio Conte.

Abramovich is said to have intervened to keep on John Terry, Petr Cech, Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard in previous years, but Costa is apparently on his way out.

The Daily Mail, meanwhile, say Chelsea officials are stunned by Conte’s decision to get rid of Costa and believe it will cost the club millions.

It is claimed that Blues boss Antonio Conte believes Mahrez, who is keen to leave Leicester City, could provide useful cover for Eden Hazard.

The Telegraph say Chelsea are monitoring Mahrez and Juventus left-back Alex Sandro ahead of possible moves.

The Sun claim Chelsea could look to sign Leonardo Bonucci by offering Nemanja Matic as part of an exchange deal.

Defender Bonucci has been linked with Chelsea for some time, while Juve are reportedly keen to sign Matic.

The Sun say Chelsea could offer the Italian club £48m plus Matic in a bid to land Bonucci.

Terry in Cherries talks – Sun

The Sun say John Terry is “moving closer” to joining Bournemouth.

It follows recent reports that the Cherries, who last month signed keeper Asmir Begovic from Chelsea, were no longer interested in Terry.

The Sun say he has held talks with Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe over a £100,000-a-week move to the south-coast club.

Terry has been linked with a number of clubs since the announcement he will be leaving Chelsea this summer.

Lukaku wants Chelsea return – Mail

Romelu Lukaku wants to rejoin Chelsea and has told his advisers to seal a deal for him to return to Stamford Bridge, the Daily Mail reports.

Manchester United are reportedly chasing the Belgian striker, but the Mail say he is keen to sign for Chelsea.

It comes after Lukaku, sold to Everton by Chelsea in 2014, told Belgian media he is set to leave the Merseyside club, who reportedly want £100m for him.

He also suggested that a move had already been agreed in principle.

“Staying at Everton is no longer an option for next season. I remain calm,’ Lukaku, 24, said.

‘I’m not going to make big declarations about my future, but I know where I want to play: in a club that is fighting the Champions League and can win titles in England.

“We are now in talks with the club and I am looking forward. My agent knows what is going to happen and I know as well.

“I’m staying calm and we have an agreement with the club as well.”

Bayern duo linked

The Sun claim Chelsea as well as Manchester United are “on alert” following reports that Douglas Costa (pictured) and Renato Sanches can leave Bayern Munich for a combined £65m.

It comes after German newspaper Bild reported that both players have been told they have no future under Bayern’s former Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti, who is also reportedly keen to sign Chelsea’s Willian.

It is claimed that Sanches, 19, and Costa, 26, are both of interest to Chelsea, who have been linked with a host of players ahead of the summer transfer window.

Hazard speculation continues

Chelsea star Eden Hazard continues to be linked with a move to Real Madrid.

The Daily Mirror say the Belgian is open to a move to Real because he wants to win the Champions League.
The newspaper say Hazard watched Real retain the trophy and is interested in joining the La Liga giants.

The story is based on comments he made to the Belgian media and comes two days after the Mirror reported that Hazard intends to stay at Chelsea.

“Of course I will look at that. Honestly, I do not know what will happen to me,” Hazard is reported to have said when asked if he would be open to a move to Real.

“I only know that I have three years left on my contract with Chelsea and that we had a great season last year with the coach and the players. We want to go on with the Champions League next year.

“We had a great season together with Antonio and other players. We want to go further, including in the Champions League. I feel good at Chelsea, but you never know what can happen.

“I have not met the (Chelsea) management yet. First I have two more matches with Belgium. Those are the most important now. Then a month’s holiday.

“And honestly, I want to think about football as little as possible.”
