Chelsea linked with Croatian starlet

Chelsea are showing an interest in highly-rated Croatian teenager Tonći Mujan, according to the Sunday People.

Tottenham are also reported to be keeping tabs on Hajduk Split’s 18-year-old left-sided midfielder, who has been linked with a number of European clubs in recent months.

Manchester United are continuing to monitor Juan Mata’s situation but Chelsea are unlikely to want to do business with them, the Mail on Sunday reports.

Mata is again linked with Bayern Munich, this time by the Sunday Mirror, who also say Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is keen to sign Colombia striker Radamel Falcao from Monaco.

The Sunday Telegraph say Chelsea are prepared to pay £21m to bring former Blues midfielder Nemanja Matic back to Stamford Bridge from Benfica, who are apparently unlikely to accept the offer.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are in a battle with Arsenal to sign 19-year-old Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguezhref, according to the People, who also say Blues skipper John Terry is considering coming out of international retirement.

Chelsea’s Michael Essien, recently linked with a loan move to AC Milan, could end up at the San Siro despite the Serie A club’s chief executive Adriano Galliani confirming no talks have taken place, the Daily Star Sunday suggest.

And The Sun on Sunday report that Arsenal have refunded £10 to Chelsea fans who were stuck behind television cameras in last month’s 0-0 draw at the Emirates Stadium.
