Many QPR fans on Twitter were less than impressed with new signing Sebastian Polter’s display in the goalless draw with Newport County on Sunday.
The ex-Mainz forward, pictured above scoring in the club’s 10-0 tour win against Verona Stars, played the full 90 minutes of the pre-season friendly at Rodney Parade.
But there were others prepared to give the striker the benefit of the doubt.

i really dont like this article, hes just moved from germany and from what ive seen seems to always be in the right places and needs confidents, articles like this are counter productive and unsettle players. from what ive seen ive been very impressed with his positioning the goals will come im sure if people get behind him and the team
I agree that with just over to go before match 1 it appears no one is sure of who will be in the squad, which is not good. I also agree with the majority that defensively we need at least 2 more to look to compete with the better Championship teams. Mid table?
I am very worried that Ramsey and Co have little idea who will be going.
How can you plan anything under these circumstances.
I'm not sure the preseason fixtures are helpful on that basis.
The Italian trip was very poorly organized.
It looks like a complete shambles at the moment.
There is no feeling from the QPR faithful that a team will be assembled to make a quick return to the Premiership or compete well in the Championship.
Very little money has been spent there is a real fear factor developing with the shadow of a big fine creating a gloom stifling QPR managements thoughts at the moment.
Hope it's just not me getting depressed any thoughts?.GVS
