Cardiff v QPR player ratings

QPR picked up a point in an uninspiring end-of-season game at Cardiff. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player in Saturday’s 0-0 draw.

Matt Ingram: 8
An excellent debut for the young keeper, who produced a couple of fine saves and generally looked very comfortable and confident.

Nedum Onuoha: 6
Less than comfortable at right-back but stuck to his task and won plenty of challenges, but was also beaten in the air at a corner by Sean Morrison, whose header was well saved by Ingram.

Grant Hall: 7
Did well at the back for Rangers, winning several challenges including when he robbed Lex Immers with a fine last-ditch tackle in the first half.

Clint Hill: 7
Typically solid and workmanlike on his return to the side. And he was well placed to clear the ball off the line to prevent a Cardiff goal in the second half.

Paul Konchesky: 5
Clearly targeted by Cardiff and was exposed on plenty of occasions. Was fortunate, though, that the home side did not show more attacking ambition.

Karl Henry: 7
Did an important job for Rangers in midfield, where the visitors were able to stop Cardiff getting any momentum.

Alejandro Faurlin: 6
Hit and miss with his passing, but was strong in the tackle and combined well with Henry.

Massimo Luongo: 7
Saw plenty of the ball and had Rangers’ best chance of the game when he was denied by David Marshall’s near-post save.

Tjaronn Chery: 5
A frustrating afternoon for the Dutchman, summed up when he led a Rangers counter-attack with a penetrating run only to then give the ball away near the edge of the penalty area.

Matt Phillips: 7
Lively on the flank in the first half and his set-piece delivery caused Cardiff some problems.

Sebastian Polter: 6
Worked hard but struggled to make an impact. Was substituted just as he appeared to be getting into the game.

Ben Gladwin: 7
Did well after coming on for Polter and set up Luongo’s chance.

Nasser El Khayati: 6
Keen to make things happen after his 72nd-minute introduction but Rangers lacked a cutting edge up front.
