Cardiff boss Mackay eyeing another signing from QPR – report
Bobby Zamora is a target for promoted Cardiff City, the Daily Star say.
Bluebirds boss Malky Mackay, who has previously captured Matt Connolly, Heidar Helguson and Tommy Smith from QPR, is said to be interested in signing the former Fulham striker.
Zamora, who joined the R’s in January last year, has been tipped to leave Loftus Road during the summer.
Meanwhile, the Daily Telegraph report the determination of Rangers’ owners to relocate the club to a lucrative new sports and entertainment complex.
And the Star pick up on comments made by Marseille’s on-loan QPR midfielder Joey Barton to French Football Weekly in support of English referees.
Barton is quoted as saying: “Now they [the FA] are doing a thing, if a referee makes a bad decision, they stand him down for two .
“What kind of message is that sending to your referees? All of a sudden, you’re going to stop making decisions, you’re not empowering the people that you should be.”
