Chelsea fans on Twitter overwhelmingly backed the decision to hand Gary Cahill a new four-year deal.
The England centre-back, who turns 30 later this month, would have been out of contract in the summer but has now committed his future to the club until 2019.
And it seemed the vast majority of Blues fans were delighted with the news.
