Bristol City v QPR player ratings

QPR are still waiting for their first win under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink after Bristol City netted a late equaliser at Ashton Gate. Here’s how we rated the Rangers players in the 1-1 draw.

Rob Green: 7
Lucky not to be punished when he lost the ball to City’s Jonathan Kodjia inside the area, but did really well in keeping out a vicious dipping shot from the striker late on.

Nedum Onuoha: 6
The skipper tied down his flank well, restricting the crosses and advances from City wing-back Derrick Williams, although he was eventually exposed for the equaliser – the build-up and cross coming from his side.

Gabriele Angella: 6
Was instrumental in keeping the home side at bay during a first half dominated by the hosts, although lucky not to see a first-half interception ricochet past Green.

Grant Hall: 7
An assured display at the back. Some good blocks and interceptions and did well in restraining City’s frontman Jonathan Kodjia.

Paul Konchesky: 7
A good tussle with City’s Elliott Bennett. Gave as good as he got.

Alejandro Faurlin: 6
Drifted in and out of the match and would have hoped to have a greater say. Some typically deft touches but a little lightweight.

Leroy Fer: 6
Did not manage to get Rangers on the front foot until the second half, but then made his presence felt and did his bit.

Karl Henry: 6
Decent shift from the enforcer, as per usual. Supplied the necessary graft and worked hard to curb City during their most dangerous first-half spells.

Matt Phillips: 7
Anonymous in the first half, but was not alone in that. Much better after the break. Came very close to scoring on at least two occasions.

Junior Hoilett: 8
A good all-round contribution and not just because of the goal he scored and a shot against the bar. Always looking to run at defenders and inspired hopes of a first win for the new boss.

Sebastian Polter: 5
Did not get many openings and struggled to make the sort of impact that would have made Charlie Austin’s absence less noticeable.
