Matt Phillips’ injury-time goal rescued a point for QPR at Bolton. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player in the 1-1 draw.
Alex Smithies: 7
Solid in the wet and windy conditions. There was nothing he could do for Bolton’s goal.
James Perch: 5
Pushed forward in the first half, often playing effectively as a winger. Produced little of note, though, and missed a great chance to put Rangers ahead shortly before Bolton scored.
Nedum Onuoha: 5
Competed well but never looked convincing.
Grant Hall: 6
Neat and tidy but was caused some problems by the wily Emile Heskey.
Paul Konchesky: 5
Poor in both halves of the pitch. Defensively shaky and offered little going forward.
Matt Phillips: 6
Largely ineffective and had a couple of weak attempts on goal, but in the end he rescued a point for Rangers by scoring in injury time.
Karl Henry: 5
Was second best in midfield and wasn’t helped by a grossly unfair first-half booking for a perfectly fair challenge on Darren Pratley. That left Henry walking a tightrope.
Massimo Luongo: 6
Tried to make things happen and was involved in a first-half opening for Junior Hoilett. But he struggled during large parts of the game and was slow to close down on numerous occasions.
Junior Hoilett: 6
Had a first-half effort saved after combining with Luongo. He otherwise struggled to make an impact but did get through a fair amount of defensive work before being substituted just after the hour mark.
Jamie Mackie: 5
Ran around a lot but was totally ineffective before going off. Is still recovering his sharpness after injury.
Conor Washington: 6
Is still waiting for his first QPR goal, but there are some promising signs. He had a first-half shot saved after creating an opening for himself and he looked lively throughout.
Nasser El Khayati: 7
Did well after coming on for Hoilett. Showed plenty of enthusiasm and served up a cross for Perch, who should have scored.
Sebastian Polter: 6
Gave Rangers a physical presence up front after coming in for the final 17 minutes. Got stick in.
