Rafael Benitez is in the frame to take over as Manchester City manager, according to the Sunday People.
Sources close to Benitez are said to have suggested that Benitez is desperate to land the job.
There is yet more speculation about whether Jose Mourinho will leave Real Madrid and rejoin Chelsea.
The Daily Star Sunday say he will only be tempted to return to Stamford Bridge if the Blues qualify for next season’s Champions League.
There is also speculation about a possible return to the England side for John Terry following reports the Chelsea captain could come out of international retirement.
The Sunday Telegraph suggest he will be snubbed by England boss Roy Hodgson, while The Observer also say he is unlikely to be recalled.
And the Mail on Sunday say Terry faces being banned from playing for England if he goes through with his apparent bid to return to the national team.
Meanwhile, The Sun on Sunday claim Chelsea and Manchester City have been put on alert after Santos star Neymar rejected new contract.
It now seems the 21-year-old, who is apparently rated at £32m, may be put up for sale.
Santos vice-president Odilio Rodrigues is quoted as saying: “We’ve spoken with Neymar’s father, who is also his agent.
“Our intention has been for him to stay beyond 2014. But he thinks his time at Santos and in Brazil is at an end.
“Now’s the time for the speculation to start and for offers to come in. If they arrive, both Neymar and ourselves will have decisions to make.”
