Arsenal want QPR man as part of £30m spending spree – report

Arsenal are interested in signing QPR striker Loic Remy in the summer, according to the Sunday People.

Remy joined Rangers from Marseille in January after being told it would help him secure a move to one of the bigger Premier League clubs.

And it is claimed that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who is apparently planning £30m spending spree, is keen on the France international, with QPR said to be planning to demand £6m.

It is also claimed that Wenger previously considered signing him but was concerned about Remy’s injury record.

  • Wouldnt want him in the least. Gone are the days of France having some of the finest strikers in the world, except maybe Benzema but even he doesnt stand up to players of old.
I think well have to wait about three to five years and see if the French can rediscover their knack at being the finest producers of african/french talents. Everyone knows that the Germans/Spanish/Belgains and as usual the Dutch have become the best hub for great talents, so its a pitty that most of Arsenes contacts/friends are based in France and that is where he feels most at ease on valuations.

I believe that Britain these days are producing better talents than the French are, and if not, then at least on a par. I dont see France producing anyone like G Bale J Wilshere L Baines L Shaw.

The strange thing with Fance is that they do look to be creating very good individual defenders, but no more Vieira Petit Pires or Henry like players, the Arsenal lads and the most gifted of french were arguably Zidane.

I hope we stay away from France for a few years, theres a whole world of players out there and im even a little sick that we missed out on Uruguayan lads when id seen how good that team were in the last world cup and the run up to it.
