It’s difficult to pick out a bad display from Chelsea’s 2-1 victory at Arsenal. The Premier League leaders secured a first win in nine London derbies thanks to a genuine team effort with stand-out performances all over the pitch. But do you agree with our ratings?
Petr Cech: 8
Composed and calm and pulled off two world-class saves with the score at 2-1. Faultless.
Branislav Ivanovic: 7
Positionally was occasionally questionable but the attacking system means he has a lot of work to do and ground to cover. As committed and brave as ever.
Ashley Cole: 8
Typically classy display. Booed by Arsenal fans throughout but defensively solid, and used the ball brilliantly.
John Terry: 8
Another who ignored the boo boys to great effect. Commanding and led from the front. Made some timely interceptions.
David Luiz: 7
Solid despite a few worrying moments that raised the odd false alarm.
John Mikel Obi: 9
Outstanding in an efficient, no-frills sort of way. Much maligned at times because with so many attacking players he can get exposed. But a technically brilliant footballer who allows others to play and is vital for the team. Sometimes guilty of slowing play down, but not today.
Ramires: 8
Energetic, all-action stuff from the bustling Brazilian. Provides the legs, workrate and drive in midfield and is much-needed in the current system.
Oscar: 6
Some wonderful touches and great on the eye but did not shine despite a decent display. Maybe harsh but not at his most effective.
Eden Hazard: 7
Didn’t quite happen for the gifted Belgian but was impressively busy throughout and showed glimpses of his quality. Tireless effort.
Juan Mata: 9
Immense. A delightful footballer who is a joy to watch. Looked fresh, sharp and back to his best. Set up Torres for the opener and another free-kick proved the winner. Combines his quality with a great work ethic and you see why he’s so popular.
Fernando Torres: 8
Flits between frustrating to unplayable at regular intervals in the same game. The Spaniard’s performance was epitomised by missing a great one-on-one chance he created by himself. Too often sloppy in possession, but the beautifully taken goal more than made up for it. Still world class on his day.

not even messi can do what hazard did against arsenal RDM pliz try HAZARD behind the striker one game then you see the outcomes otherwise He is the one who gave arsenal MIDFIELDERS TASK of not moving up front then by doing so chelsea got time to possess otherwise i could RATE him at 10 N/B changing positions the key to our success
Good rating,up chelsea!!!
Fantastic rating. I can't agree more...glad this writer actually understands football, not like others that rate based on sentiments
We're the pride of london, nicest ratings ever.
I disagree with you about Oscar. His role was to prevent Arteta from dominating midfield.and he succeeded in that task just as he did with Pirlo in our game against Juventus. He is worth a rating of 8.
Blue keep on top d table
Good rating an unbiased. Keep it up guys
i really enjoyed how great my club were displayed yesterday and we won the matcth. up bluezzzzzzz
A very good display from chelsea but the rating is poor from some players like ramires, oscar i accept others good job from di matteo from not using lampard up blues
