Arsenal linked with Remy and Matic, speculation over Blues duo continues

Arsenal have again been linked Loic Remy, this time by the Express.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was reported to be interested in the QPR striker before his loan move to Newcastle, whose manager Alan Pardew is hoping to sign Remy on a permanent basis.

It is claimed that Wenger is considering him as well as Fulham’s Dimitar Berbatov after Nicklas Bendtner suffered an ankle injury.

Arsenal also are competing with Chelsea for the signing of Benfica midfielder Nemanja Matic, according to Talksport.

Meanwhile, there continues to be speculation over the futures of Chelsea duo Juan Mata and David Luiz.

The Evening Standard say Paris St-Germain are ready to make £30m bid for Mata, with Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan also apparently monitoring the situation.

And Goal.com say Barcelona have made another enquiry about Luiz, with St Etienne defender Kurt Zouma lined up by Chelsea as a possible replacement.
