Willian out of Arsenal game and three more are doubts
Chelsea will be without Willian for Saturday’s derby against Arsenal and Oscar, Pedro and Radamel Falcao are all doubts, Blues boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed.
Willian limped off midway through the first half of Wednesday’s Champions League game against Maccabi Tel Aviv, which Pedro and Falcao were unavailable for after picking up injuries in training.
Oscar returned from injury to play 65 minutes – his first outing since the opening-day draw against Swansea – and his fitness will need to be assessed ahead of this weekend’s match.
Mourinho said: “I will select all the players [for the squad] because tomorrow I don’t want to be in a situation where someone in the warm-up doesn’t have the best feeling.
“Willian isn’t even an option. Pedro, Falco and Oscar, let’s see what happens.”
