West Ham have made an approach to take Michy Batshuayi on loan.
The Chelsea striker, who has been linked with a loan move to Swansea in exchange for Fernando Llorente, has not started a Premier League match since his summer move to Stamford Bridge.
West Ham are keen to sign at least one forward during this month’s transfer window and are also pursuing deal to sign Brentford’s Scott Hogan.
The Hammers are looking to take Batshuayi, 23, on loan for the rest of the season.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has previously insisted that the Belgian will not be loaned out.
