Watford boss Marco Silva insisted his team did not deserve to lose at Chelsea.
The champions came back from 2-1 down to win 4-2 at Stamford Bridge, where substitute Michy Batshuayi scored twice.
After Pedro’s brilliant opener for the Blues, Watford hit back to take the lead and would have gone 3-1 up had Richarilson not missed a sitter before Chelsea’s fightback.
“It was a really unfair result. We didn’t deserve this result. Even if we had only one point we wouldn’t have deserved that result,” said Silva.
“Chelsea scored a fantastic goal and we reacted very well. We deserved our goal at the end of the first half and in the second half we played really good football.
“We scored the second goal and had chances to score and kill the match. If at that moment we scored a third goal we would have killed the match.
“Chelsea have players who in one moment can make the difference, but it was a really unfair result.”
