United States boss stands by decision to take off Pulisic
United States boss Gregg Berhalter stood by his decision to take Christian Pulisic off during a CONCACAF Nations League defeat against Canada.
Pulisic was visibly upset after being substituted by Berhalter in the second half.
It continued a frustrating spell for Pulisic, who has so far been unable to establish himself in the Chelsea side since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund.
Berhalter, who suggested Pulisic had been ill ahead of the game, said he wanted to make sure the 21-year-old was fit for next week’s match against Cuba.
