Sporting announce Chelsea’s signings of Quenda and Essugo

Chelsea have completed the double signing of Sporting’s Geovany Quenda and Dario Essugo, the Portuguese club have announced.

Sporting say the Blues’ signing of winger Quenda, 17 (pictured), has been agreed but he will not move to Stamford Bridge until the end of next season.

Midfielder Essugo, 20, is set to join Chelsea this summer. He is currently on loan at Las Palmas.

Sporting say the deal for Quenda is worth up to £44m and that the fee for Essugo is £18.4m.
