Gossip: Mail on Sunday tip Chelsea and Fulham to offload players

The Mail on Sunday predict both Chelsea and Fulham will offload players in the next couple of weeks.

The transfer window is closed in England but remains open in other parts of Europe until the end of the month, while the loan window for EFL clubs also remains open until then too.

It means Premier League players can be loaned to EFL sides or sold and loaned to clubs on the Continent until 31 August.

There continues to be speculation over Danny Drinkwater’s future at Stamford Bridge, where he has dropped further down the pecking order of midfielders.

There is speculation over Drinkwater’s future for some time

The Mail on Sunday say Chelsea will listen to offers for Drinkwater, who has failed to establish himself as a first-team player since being signed from Leicester last year.

The newspaper also say Tammy Abraham, who is wanted by Aston Villa on loan, could go.

Fulham, meanwhile, are said to be ready to loan out Cauley Woodrow again, with Rui Fonte, Ibrahima Cisse and Neeskens Kebano also available.
