Chelsea’s Clarke-Salter joins Birmingham on loan
Birmingham City have completed the signing of Jake Clarke-Salter on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
The defender, 21, spent last season on loan at Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem and has previously been on loan at Sunderland and Bristol Rovers.
He has made two first-team appearances for Chelsea, one of them in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Fikayo Tomori is also set for another loan move away from Stamford Bridge.
Tomori spent last season at Derby County and Chelsea are keen for him to pick up more first-team experience. Several clubs have expressed an interest.

Jake Clark-Salter is good enough and should have gone to an EPL side or maybe a Bundesliga team on loan not Birmingham in the Championship for his progression.
Likewise Tomori is a Premiership quality central defender and I only hope that CFC organize a Prem loan for him as that is the standard these guys need to be playing at to advance now. Tomori after his player of the season at Derby last term has nothing to prove in the Championship and would be a great addition for clubs like Southampton, Bournemouth, Brighton, Palace, Watford etc where the club could keep close tabs on him and his progress.
