Chelsea striker Fernando Torres could feature in Saturday’s game at Aston Villa.
Torres missed last weekend’s 4-0 thrashing of Tottenham after picking up a groin injury during the warm-up, but he has responded well to treatment and may be involved against Paul Lambert’s side.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho is considering holding the Spaniard back for Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Galatasary but confirmed Torres has recovered.
“Maybe I won’t take him and I’ll try everything for Tuesday, but maybe I’ll take him tomorrow,” said Mourinho.
“The dedication to the recovery was great by him and the physios. He’s tried everything to recover. I have to decide, maybe tomorrow, maybe Tuesday.”
However, David Luiz and Ashley Cole have both been ruled out of the trip to Villa Park as they are still nursing injuries.
