Schalke confirm approach from Chelsea for Kolasinac

Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel has confirmed that the German club have rejected an approach from Chelsea for left-back Sead Kolasinac.

The 23-year-old Bosnia & Herzegovina international, who was also wanted by Juventus, is in the final year of his contract.

Chelsea expressed an interest ahead of the transfer deadline but Schalke have insisted he is not for sale.

German media have quoted Heidel as saying: “Yes, there was an approach, but it was off the table immediately.”
