Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu has signed a new three-year deal.
The 22-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Valencia, has committed himself to the Blues until 2017.
Romeu moved to Stamford Bridge from Barcelona in 2011 and made 24 appearances in his first season at the club, before suffering several injuries.
The former Spain Under-21 international made 33 appearances at Valencia last season and has impressed since his return for Chelsea’s pre-season preparations.
He featured in friendly at Wycombe on Wednesday, which Chelsea won 5-0.

I wish to see Matic and Romeu playing 4 and Oscar, hazard and fabregas doing the damage in the midfield while Costa scoring with his ears and ass upfront.
Wise decision by chelsea. Now give him chance to prove himself and stop Jose from neglecting our loan boys before it gets out of hand!
