Returning Matic is fit to face PSG
Nemanja Matic will start against Paris St-Germain in Chelsea’s Champions League last-16 second leg tie at Stamford Bridge after recovering from injury.
The midfielder has missed the last two matches through suspension after being sent off in the draw against Burnley last month and was injured celebrating the Capital One Cup success against Tottenham.
Matic also missed the league win over West Ham that followed.
But Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho said he is fit to play on Wednesday.
“There is no problem within his injury but no football for a couple of weeks and no training too because he was really injured,” Mourinho said.
“He is ready to play and he is going to play tomorrow in his normal position
“I told him that we won two very important matches without him, so maybe he is not so important. I told him that. He was laughing the same way you are laughing, but it is the reality.
“But it is also the reality that he is very important. We did well without him but we are happy he is back.”
The Blues are still without John Mikel Obi, who is recovering from a knee problem.
