Redknapp: I’d sign Terry for Arsenal

Harry Redknapp has told Talksport he believes Arsenal should look to sign John Terry this summer.

Terry has indicated that he would not join a rival Premier League club if he leaves Chelsea, where his contract expires at the end of the season.

Nevertheless, there has been speculation this week that he could yet be tempted to join another English team rather than move abroad if he is released by the Blues.

And former QPR boss Redknapp said: “If I was the manager of Arsenal, I would take John Terry tomorrow.

“He would absolutely improve that side. That’s what they’re short of, they’re short of a John Terry – they’ve got no leaders.

“I think someone like John would sort a few of them out and get them at it.

“He’d be worth his weight in gold around the place. There are not many players like him around anymore.”
