QPR waiting for news on Clarke-Salter injury
QPR are waiting to discover the extent of a hamstring injury picked up by recent signing Jake Clarke-Salter.
The defender, snapped up this summer after leaving Chelsea, missed Saturday’s win against Middlesbrough.
Boss Mick Beale is currently unsure how long Clarke-Salter is likely to be unavailable for.
Beale explained: “Unfortunately he felt a twinge in his hamstring. I don’t know the extent of it yet.”
Rangers have other options at centre-back and Beale brought Jimmy Dunne back into the side for the Boro game.
Clarke-Salter got the nod ahead of Dunne for the opening-day defeat at Blackburn.
Beale said: “I know I’ve got Jimmy. I’ve got full trust in Jimmy.
“I think I’ve got three excellent centre-halves and two very good young ones in Conor Masterson and Joe Gubbins.
“So no problem. Jake comes out and I thought Jimmy did really well. He had a really good game.”
Meanwhile, recent loan signing Taylor Richards could be out for two months with a thigh problem.
