QPR boss on his selection mistake, Dieng’s injury and playing without a striker
Mark Warburton speaks at his post-match press conference after QPR’s 1-0 defeat against promotion rivals Blackburn at Ewood Park.
The Rangers boss admits he made a mistake by not making changes following the midweek win over Blackpool.
He also speaks about Seny Dieng’s injury and the decision to again play without a recognised striker.

Quite frankly i do not think we have had enough threat up front most of the season which puts more strain on the defence who have done well under the circumstances. We cant keep relying on the very good midfield players with have to keep scoring goals like they have done and i think it is now showing. All season long i have never thought playing with 3 at the back suits us. It means that Albert (who has been great almost all season) has to play as a wing back and can not get forward so much. By god do we need him up front more, where he can do so much damage and be such a threat. With out him there, we are now so lacking, and i can not see us even making the play offs.
