Pulisic hopeful injury woes are behind him

Christian Pulisic is hopeful his injury problems are behind him.

The American has been plagued by injuries since his arrival at Chelsea but has recently been enjoying a run in the side.

“I feel very confident in my body and fitness level at the moment,” Pulisic said.

“I’ve played a string of games. It’s really just about taking care of my body and putting myself in the best position to be available for every game. I feel good about that right now.”

Pulisic was speaking on the eve of the Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid.

Chelsea could come up against their former talisman Eden Hazard, who recently returned to action after injury.

Pulisic was keen to play down comparisons between himself and the Belgian.

“He was an incredible player at this club. I definitely looked up to him,” Pulisic said.

“I am not comparing myself to him in any way or trying to be like him. I’m my own player and doing my best for this club.

“Obviously it’s an honour to hear comparisons like that, but I still have a way to go.”
