Players must want to be at Chelsea – Conte
Antonio Conte has declared that he does not want anyone at Chelsea next season who is not fully committed to the club.
The Blues boss was responding at a news conference on Friday to a question about whether he expects the likes of Diego Costa and Eden Hazard to still be at Stamford Bridge next season.
It follows reports Costa has been lined up for a move to China and that Real Madrid want Hazard.
“First of all, the player must have pleasure to stay at Chelsea. This is the first important thing for me,” Conte said.
“For me it is very important that every single player who wants to stay at Chelsea has the pleasure to stay at Chelsea.”
Conte also reiterated that he believes John Terry should – and will – continue playing when he leaves Chelsea at the end of the season.
