Oscar is expected to be fit for Chelsea’s Champions League round-of-16 game against Paris Saint Germain on Tuesday.
The Brazilian midfielder picked up a slight calf injury in training and was left out of the squad for the victory over Newcastle on Saturday.
But the problem is not thought to be serious, with the decision taken as a precaution with the away trip to France in mind.
The attacking trio of Pedro, Eden Hazard and Willian all started against Newcastle, part of manager Guus Hiddink’s tactical plan to surprise Steve McClaren’s struggling side.
But they are unlikely to all be selected in the first leg against the French champions.
