MK Dons 1 Chelsea 5

Oscar grabbed a first-half hat-trick and Eden Hazard scored his first goal of the season as Chelsea cruised in to the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Darren Potter’s deflected shot cancelled out Oscar’s effort to make it 1-1 but two more Oscar strikes, a Hazard penalty and Bertrand Traore’s first goal for the club sealed a stylish and emphatic victory.

The Blues outplayed MK Dons from the kick off, with the impressive Hazard – making his first start since limping off against Crystal Palace – teeing up an early chance for Diego Costa and two for Oscar.

It was Oscar who grabbed the opener, tapping in from close range from a Costa pass after a terrible Kyle McFadzean backpass.

And although the Championship strugglers levelled against the run of play through Potter’s deflected long-range strike, Oscar’s tidy finish from a cute Ruben Loftus-Cheek pass restored the lead.

Oscar’s sumptuous curler after his run across the box put Chelsea in control at the interval and Hazard, who also hit the post, ensured there was to be no upset.

The Belgian slid home the fourth from the spot after being fouled by Potter – his first goal in his 29th appearance of the season – and celebrated in front of a noisy travelling support of nearly 7000.

And Hazard then laid on number five for Traore, the substitute slotting in from 12 yards.

Chelsea: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Baba; Matic, Fabregas; Oscar (Willian 64), Loftus-Cheek, Hazard (Pedro 64); Costa (Traore 57).
Subs not used: Begovic, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Mikel.
