Costa will not face FA action for Kompany challenge

Chelsea’s Diego Costa will not face retrospective action from the Football Association after appearing to kick out at Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany.

The incident occurred during the second half of Wednesday’s 2-1 win by the Blues at Stamford Bridge.

Referee Mike Dean saw the incident, meaning there will not be any follow-up FA action.

Chelsea’s victory kept them seven points clear at the top of the Premier League.
