Chelsea Under-18s began the new campaign with a 3-2 victory over their Fulham counterparts on Saturday.
Jody Morris, in his first game in charge of the Blues youngsters, named six new scholars in his starting line-up, and they all gelled pretty quickly.
A Harvey St Clair free-kick and a firmly struck effort from Martell Taylor-Crossdale gave the home side a 2-0 lead after only half an hour.
Fulham responded nine minutes before half-time through Jayden Harris, who curled into the top corner.
St Clair added a third midway for Chelsea through the second half slotting into the bottom corner, before another fine effort from the impressive Harris set up a thrilling finish.
Fulham were denied an equaliser when Cole Dasilva cleared off the line as Chelsea snatched the points.
