Mourinho: I’m happy with three strikers
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has insisted he is happy with his attacking options despite strikers Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba scoring only one goal between them so far this season.
Eto’o started against both Everton and Basel but looked short of his best, while Ba has only started one game and has admitted he is struggling reproduce his best form.
Of the trio, only Torres – who has started two matches and scored against Bayern Munich – has found the net.
But Mourinho, who recently allowed Romelu Lukaku to move to Everton on loan, said: “I am happy with the three strikers for the rest of the season.
“The players are good players and are good professionals; they try their best every day and every match.
“I can’t complain about any one of the three. When they are on the pitch they try to give their best to the team and the happy moment will arrive.”
