‘Almost injured’ Cahill to sit out derby
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has decided to leave Gary Cahill out of Saturday’s derby against Crystal Palace because the defender is “almost injured.”
Mourinho will play David Luiz alongside John Terry at centre-back for the second game in succession as Cahill is nursing a slight thigh problem.
Luiz was recalled to the side for the Champions League win against Steaua Bucharest this week after recovering from a knee injury and will also start against the Eagles.
Mourinho explained: “With Cahill, is he injured? No. He is almost injured so we decided to protect him.
“He was feeling a bit of pain in his quadricep and we try to make this kind of analysis and try in the end to arrive in conditions to be able to compete.”
Meanwhile, Mourinho has dismissed reports linking Luiz with a possible January move to Barcelona.

I think is high time you started playing exciting players and leave out your so called favourites. Ever since you came back to chelsea our matches became so boring That I fall asleep while watching our matches.
