Mourinho: Chelsea cannot win the title

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho claimed Chelsea can no longer win the Premier League title after a dismal display in the 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace.

The Blues are still top of the table but are only a point clear of Liverpool having played a game more.

And Chelsea are just three points ahead of Manchester City, who had three matches in hand prior to Saturday’s evening kick-off against Manchester City.

Asked if the title chances were over, Mourinho said: “We depend too much on other results. When you depend a little it is possible, when you depend a lot I don’t think it is possible.

“I know mathematically it is still possible but one thing is mathematics and another is reality and we depend too much on others.”
