Mourinho backs Eto’o after Chelsea loss
Jose Mourinho backed Samuel Eto’o to make his mark in the Premier League after Chelsea were beaten on the forward’s debut.
Eto’o showed plenty of promise and had a couple of decent chances at Goodison Park, where Mourinho’s side lost 1-0 to Everton despite dominating most of the game.
Chelsea played some lovely football with Eto’o at the centre of much of their best work, but they were unable to find the net.
However, Blues boss Mourinho said: “I think the players do have a killer instinct and Samuel was a ‘killer’ all his career.
“The situations where he was involved in the game made me happy. It looked to be a good understanding with the team.”
Steven Naismith’s goal on the stroke of half-time was enough for Everton, who defended doggedly and rode their luck as Chelsea missed a number of chances.
And Mourinho admitted: “We had chances. If you don’t score, what you create means nothing, and if you don’t create but you score a goal you can win three points. It is a simple story.
“Artistic football without goals is not good. We couldn’t transform what we did but one day we will win when we don’t deserve to win.”

Today we lose against Everton and Chelsea play to nothing. Good job Mr. Mourinho replacing Moses for Eto plus 7 millions more a year!!!???.
Eto came to Chelsea because of you and now he is one of your protégées like Terry and Lampard
Of course you have to be frustrated Mr Mourinho, just as we are of you. Chelsea is not the same team you coached before, now there are millions of supporters not only from England Mr Mourinho, and we are not so easy followers of ego-characters like you and Terry.
Mr Mourinho in his desire to accommodate Terry on the pitch choose to place David Luis in Cahill’s position, and thats the reason we loose, You have to be brave Mr. Mourinho. If you desire Terry to play, then bench Luis, but don’t make experiments that cost us the title.
But that is not enough, according to Mourinho the team did not perform well with Mata on the pitch and he decided the solution was to put his other protégé Lampard to correct the situation. Error Mr Mourinho. Week after week is evident your honeymoon with Terry Lampard and now Eto is going to pass you the check.
Why don’t you just do your job making strategies and team style of play and stop opening your mouth to criticizes your own players? They didn’t loose the game , you did.
