Missed chances at Stoke anger Mourinho
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was again unhappy at his team’s failure to take their chances following the 3-2 defeat at Stoke.
Mourinho admitted after losses at Everton and Newcastle that the Blues’ away form was a concern as they chase the title.
And it was a similar story at the Britannia Stadium, where a combination of missed opportunities and defensive lapses proved costly.
“After half an hour we should have been winning 3-0 or 4-0 and we weren’t,” Mourinho said.
“I can compare this first half to other first halves – Everton v Chelsea and Newcastle v Chelsea. They were exactly the same, with chances, chances, chances but we didn’t score.
“We played amazingly well at the beginning of the game, but we didn’t score enough goals.
“On top of that we made defensive mistakes. If you don’t score a lot of goals but you don’t make defensive mistakes you can win with just one goal.
“But this team is a team that has to score goals and capitalise on the production of football. We are not a physical team with conditions to defend against physical teams, so we have to score when we have the game in our hands.”

MOURINHO should carry the blame…we didnt need Eto’o in that game..andre shurrle should be handed the striking role…otherwise the subs made spoilt the game
