Chelsea fans on Twitter have been split over the departure of technical director Michael Emenalo.
The former Nigeria international resigned from the role he landed in 2011, overseeing the club’s recruitment and scouting.
But with a number of failures in the transfer market during his period at Stamford Bridge, some supporters seemed pleased to see the back of him.
However, Emenalo also helped bring in the likes of Eden Hazard, Cesar Azpilicueta, Thibaut Courtois, Andreas Christensen and Willian, as well as Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku, who have since thrived elsewhere – and other fans were keen to give him the credit.

Wish you well for the future, Emenalo.
Emenalo played a vital role in Chelsea but he was too powerful. he is behind the persistent changes of coaches in Chelsea. he failed to sack Conte and did well by sacking himself
