Pasalic signs new Chelsea deal and makes loan move
Mario Pasalic has signed a new four-year contract and joined Russian champions Spartak Moscow on a season-long loan.
The Croatian midfielder, 22, spent last season on loan at AC Milan and has also had loan spells at Monaco and Spanish side Elche since Chelsea signed him from Hadjuk Split three years ago.
He has not played in a competitive match for Chelsea’s first team but did feature during the recent pre-season tour of Asia, making appearances against Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.
His latest loan move means he is now set to play Champions League football for the first time.
