Miazga plays in Under-21 game

January signing Matt Miazga played for Chelsea’s Under-21 side as they beat Leicester 2-1 at Aldershot on Friday evening.

After Joe Dodoo put the visitors ahead against the run of play, American defender Miazga was involved in Chelsea’s first-half equaliser, crossing for Jake Clarke-Salter to head home.

And Reece Mitchell scored the winner early in the second half with a header from Fankaty Dabo’s fine cross.

Leicester keeper Daniel Iversen produced a number of saves, including when he denied Mitchell after the forward had again been set up by Dabo.

Iversen also saved with his legs to prevent Tammy Abraham scoring a late third for the Blues.
