Lukaku looks set to sign for Napoli
Chelsea and Napoli appear to have agreed a deal for Romelu Lukaku to join the Italian club.
Napoli’s former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen for his club to sign Lukaku, 31, and the move looks like going through following weeks of negotiations.
The Belgium striker has spent the past two seasons on loan in Italy, first at Inter Milan and more recently at Roma.
He left Inter for a second spell at Chelsea, returning to Stamford Bridge during the summer of 2021 for a fee close to £100m.
Hopes were high that he could make a big impact for the Blues second time around, but he again flattered to deceive – and controversially made it clear he wanted to go back to Inter.
His sale could pave the way for Chelsea to sign a striker before the transfer window closes next week.
