Loftus-Cheek named in England squad
Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been named in the England squad for matches against Spain and Switzerland.
England will play a Nations League game at Wembley against Spain on September 8 and a friendly against the Swiss at Leicester’s King Power Stadium three days later.
Loftus-Cheek, who featured in the World Cup earlier this summer, keeps his place despite playing just 22 minutes for Chelsea so far this season.
England boss Gareth Southgate said: “We’re on the back of a successful tournament. Not too much can have changed in that time because we reached the semi-final and there has only been three league games.”
