Ruben Loftus-Cheek has signed a new long-term deal at Chelsea.
The 20-year-old midfielder has impressed since breaking into the Blues’ first-team and has had his contract at Stamford Bridge extended to 2021.
“I’m delighted to sign a new contract at Chelsea and my focus is on working hard in training every day in order to push on and establish myself in the team,” he told the club’s website.
“It really means a lot because this shows the club believe in me so I’m really happy. I want to repay the faith they’ve shown in me with my performances on the pitch.”
Loftus-Cheek has so far made 13 first-team appearances for Chelsea and has played eight times for England’s Under-21 side.
Meanwhile, 20-year-old defender Dion Conroy, who has caught the eye for Chelsea at Under-18 and Under-21 levels, has signed a new contract until 2018.
